Why Is MSM Alkaline?
MSM helps cells to be
flexible which enables them release of acidic toxins and
waste from cells and like wise supports the absorption
of nutrients.
What Is MSM?
MSM (methyl sulfonyl methane) is not a medicine, a
drug, or a food additive. It is a FOOD - a pure
white sulfur powder. It comes from the ocean and
is water soluble. Sulfonyl sulfur is found in
plants, meats, dairy products, and vegetation.
MSM is the 3rd largest ingredient found in your
body. MSM was discovered by Dr. Stanley Jacob of
the Oregon Health Sciences University to be the active
ingredient in DMSO that produced its health benefits.
MSM is found in all living organisms and helps in the
utilization of nutrients such vitamins minerals and
amino acids. MSM provides the flexible bonds between
proteins that are important for strong yet flexible cell
that is capable
of maintaining good health.
Why MSM
Supplementation Is Important:
MSM is a natural part of every cell
function and is concentrated in the connective tissues of the skin, nails,
and hair. Hair and finger nail growth is one of the first effects of taking
MSM, but it does more than that. MSM enables cells to be
flexible enabling them to absorb nutrients and release
cellular waste or toxins. This is a very important
aspect of cleansing. When our system is deficient in MSM, our bodies cannot make
enough healthy cells to overcome the effects of the unhealthy
cells. We are then subject to various illnesses, headaches,
pains, inflammation and allergies until we correct a problem with good
healthy cells. MSM is a source of organic sulfur and is a key nutrient for its
diverse health benefits. Though MSM is found in many fresh foods, modern
agricultural methods and food processing cause its depletion. This
makes it difficult to get adequate amounts of MSM in the daily diet. Rich's
MSM helps restore the body balance with a needed natural source of sulfur
for support. We believe in fundamentals like water, ionic
minerals, vitamins, etc. MSM ranks next to water as a fundamental in our
opinion. It is one of those things that we do not skip.
Health
Benefits of MSM from Buzzle.com
In past few years, dietary supplement
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) has become very popular
among people suffering from various problems such as
different types of allergies, inflammations, heartburns,
fibromyalgia, arthritis rhinitis, hair problems (those
with keratin level in hair below normal), joint pain,
parasitic infection, irritable bowel syndrome, carpal
tunnel syndrome and also skin and nails related issues.
MSM is also believed to be useful in strengthening
joints, balancing blood flow as it helps in increasing
the blood flow, muscle contraction problem and mobility
related problems etc.
In many cases of arthritis, MSM in combination with
other herbs & medicines have proven to be the best
remedy available and the patients have found it more
than effective for their condition.
MSM in combination with Glucosamine, Chondroitin and
other few herbs/medicine works magic for the patient
suffering from joint pain. It also is supposed to have
an important role to play in treatment of cancer (it
helps in reducing growth of some type of carcinogen
cells) and Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis (SAR) as MSM helps
in fighting symptoms of these diseases, more study in
this area is still needed to reach a concrete
conclusion.
However, the effect of medication depends on the
patient’s condition and response of patient’s body to
such externally provided substances. Many clinical
trials and case studies are also being carried out in
order to reveal other benefits and side-effects of
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) on human body.
JAMES
COBURN'S
Experience with MSM & Arthritis - From About.com
Actor James Coburn Claims MSM Helped Him To Cure His
Rheumatoid Arthritis
James Coburn Says MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) Cured His
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Following
his win as "Best Actor in a Supporting Role" for his
work in the movie "Affliction", veteran actor James
Coburn, 70, spoke of overcoming a 15-year battle with
rheumatoid arthritis when he was interviewed
backstage at the Oscars in March (1999). The arthritis
community was stirred by claims Coburn made and people
clamored to learn about the treatment he mentioned.
Celebrities naturally command more
attention than non-celebrities. It is not surprising
that when James Coburn claimed he was able "to get to
the root of the problem", people listened. As we examine
the treatment plan Coburn talked about, let us
responsibly review important considerations with regard
to choosing a treatment plan.
James Coburn's Claim
As reported in USA Today and
Entertainment Weekly, James Coburn described a period of
ten years when movement caused relentless pain and
standing was "really troublesome".
In 1990, Coburn could barely walk because
of rheumatoid arthritis and it impacted his work as an
actor. He was forced to put his career on hold. Coburn
was unhappy with the medical establishment and believing
they could not solve his problem, he stopped seeing
doctors. After concluding in his own mind that doctors
just want to keep patients on drugs and not cure the
problem, he took matters into his own hands.
Coburn focused on a treatment plan which
combined deep tissue
massage, electromagnetic treatments, and MSM which
he insisted "really, really does the job". Coburn
reportedly used the word "cured" in his statements.
Other MSM Success Stories:
GERALD ADAMS, 59,
of Cleveland, N.C., has suffered from asthma and chronic
obstructive lung disease for years. He'd have to stop three times to
catch his breath while walking to and from his rural mailbox, a distance
of about 150 feet. And, almost like clockwork, he'd be hospitalized
every six months with severe breathing problems. Adams started taking
MSM in April 1997 and started breathing easier after just four days.
When he skipped taking MSM in August, he suffered severe breathing
problems and ended up in the hospital for five weeks. Since then, he has
taken MSM religiously and continues to feel better. "It's the MSM that
has made such a difference," he says. "Without it, I'm not sure that i'd
be talking with you."
TEN YEARS AGO,
Charlotte Callan, 72, of Burlington,
Ontario, Canada, was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica and
fibromyalgia-diseases characterized by muscle pain and weakness. Hunched
over, she was treated with prednisone, a hormone, but her health failed
to get much better. In 1995, she traveled to Portland, Ore., where
Stanley Jacob, M.D., treated her with MSM, and she has continued to take
MSM. "I was pretty close to being an invalid," she says. "Now, I do my
washing, ironing, baking and cooking. MSM is a pretty marvelous,
wonderful thing."
FATHER SAM BUNGO,
46, of Frenchville, Penn., suffers from
bursitis and arthritic symptoms in his knees and one shoulder. His knee
problems, he says, are probably the result of joint damage from jogging.
""A lot of times, I would get up in the morning and have to go down the
stairs very slowly, one step at a time," he says. That was before he
began using MSM almost a year ago. "Now, I have no trouble with my
knees," Father Bungo says. However, the shoulder pain returns if he
stops taking MSM for a few days.
Why We Say Rich Distributing's MSM Is The Best:
Rich Distributing is the best source for MSM. As the original
producer of MethylSulfonylMethane for human use, Rich's MSM is still
unequaled in quality and purity. Most MSM on the market is produced in
China through precipitation, which results in an inferior quality MSM.
Rich's MSM is produced in the United States through distillation, which
produces a higher quality of MSM.
Rich Distributing is the
source for MSM. The ingredients are 99.9% MSM and .01% moisture.
